Seyani Brothers & Company ( Kenya ) Limited was founded in 1978 by Divyesh’s grandfather Mr. Khimji Seyani. Before venturing his dreams of becoming a self-entrepreneur Late Mr. Khimji Seyani worked with Foale & Company in Nairobi for 8 years as a senior site agent. He later embarked on his journey in 1978 and incorporated Seyani Brothers & Company (K) Ltd. Through his enthusiasm and dedication, he has worked endlessly to achieve his goals. Late Mr. Khimji Seyani served as the Chairman for Seyani Brothers for over 25 years and left an imprint in the Kenyan Construction Industry which shall never be forgotten.

Divyesh Seyani is the Project Director of Seyani Brothers & CO (K) Ltd with a passion to join the family business, Divyesh furthered his studies at Brunel University with BSc in Finance and Accounting. He thereafter went to Uganda in 2014, in the aggregate mining industry, and produced construction materials as a supervisor. With time cost and quality as his key drivers, he brought this expertise to SBC in 2017 and applied this to various commercial and residential projects. With his aggression in ensuring quality in the manufacturing industry, Divyesh uses the same in their construction projects to ensure quality is at the top and never compromised.

Mr. Divyesh highlights that in this market, technology and service are some of most important factors to stay competitive in this industry. By undertaking multiple trades in house, Seyani continuously invests in the latest machinery to provide better quality products and services. They also regularly update their QA/QC, based on individual project requirements to maintain their quality standards.

With the amassed expertise, plant and tools, SBC can complete multiple projects within the stipulated timelines and budget, without compromising on quality.

With the Covid 19 Pandemic and Ukraine war, the prices of construction material increased substantially, and supply of material reduced drastically, making it increasingly difficult to complete on-going projects and undertake new ones.

The desire to continue with his grandfather’s legacy has encouraged him and his team to focus on undertaking new projects, with new challenges, and to continuously invest in the latest plant and tools to remain as an industry leader.

Mr. Divyesh looks back and appreciates his journey to the top, noting that hard work, resilience, innovativeness, and focus kept him afloat all these years.
